Who is eligible to enter?

This promotion is open to legal residents of Canada who are aged 18 or over and have a valid email address and an active Amazon.ca account, excluding employees of Amazon who are residents of Canada, its agents and anyone professionally associated with this promotion.

When can I enter?

The promotional period will run between 03:00:00 EDT am on June 21, 2022 and 11:59:59 pm EDT on July 11, 2022.

How do I enter the promotion?

There are two 2 ways to enter:

[1] Automatic entry by making a qualifying Small Business Purchase on Amazon:

  1. Visit www.primedaysweepstakes.ca and register your details (date of birth and Amazon Login), and agree to the Terms and Conditions and the Amazon.ca Privacy Notice, then click to register.
  2. Visit www.amazon.ca and make a qualifying purchase of at least $1, before tax, shipping costs, and any applicable fees, on a small business product from a participating small business retailer as designated and labelled by Amazon’s stores within the promotion period. Participating small businesses can be identified by the Small Business Badge.
  3. For every $1 spent (excluding taxes, shipping costs, and any applicable fees) on a qualifying purchase within the promotion period, you will receive one entry into the Sweepstakes.
  4. Entries will not be valid until step a) is completed. All entries made prior to completing step a) will not be entered into the Sweepstakes until registration is completed. If step a) is not completed within the Promotion Period, then all Entries will be void and you will receive no entries into the Sweepstakes.

How do I know my entry has been received?

All entrants will be automatically entered into the Prize Draw on successful completion of the steps below. You may not receive a confirmation email, but rest assured all your valid entries will be included in our Sweepstakes.

Will I receive an entry confirmation email?

You may not receive a confirmation email, but rest assured all your valid entries will be included in our Sweepstakes.

How many times can I enter?

A maximum total purchase value of $1500 (excluding taxes, shipping costs, and any applicable fees), and therefore 1500 entries is permitted per person throughout the Promotion Period.

Regardless of the number of purchases you make or the amount you spend, in no event will you receive more than 1500 entries into the Sweepstakes.

If you submit an AMOE entry via the website, you may only submit a total of 1500 AMOE Entries throughout the Promotion Period. Each AMOE Entry must meet the requirements outlined in clause 3 above and be submitted separately.

No person may win more than 1 Prize from any Prize tier.

How do I know if my purchase qualifies as a small business purchase?

Participating small businesses can be identified by the Small Business Badge located next to eligible products.

Do I need to have an Amazon account?

Yes, all entrants must have an active Amazon.ca customer account.

Can I use an Amazon Business account to enter the Sweepstakes?

No, all entrants must have an active Amazon.ca customer account.

Do I need to be a small business owner?

No. This promotion is open to all residents of Canada who are aged 18 or over and have a valid email address and an active Amazon.ca customer account.

What are the prizes?

There will be a total of 16,260 prizes.

  1. Star Prize: 30 winners will win 1 x $5000 Amazon.ca eGift Card.
  2. Tier 1: 130 winners will win 1 x $1000 Amazon.ca eGift Card.
  3. Tier 2: 460 winners will win 1 x $500 Amazon.ca eGift Card.
  4. Tier 3: 920 winners will win 1 x $250 Amazon.ca eGift Card.
  5. Tier 4: 3,600 winners will win 1 x $100 Amazon.ca eGift Card
  6. Tier 5: 11,120 winners will win 1 x $50 Amazon.ca eGift Card

Total Retail Value of all prizes: $1,656,000.00.

Can I win multiple times?

Yes. There are a total of 6 prize tiers (inclusive of Star Prize). No person may win more than 1 prize from any prize tier.

When and how are winners selected?

16,260 potential prize winners will randomly be selected from all valid entries received during the Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes drawings will be conducted by the Administrator within 10 working days of the end of the Sweepstakes.

How do I know if I’ve won?

Selected entrants will be contacted by the Administrator via the email address linked to their Amazon.ca account that was provided during registration for the Sweepstakes within 5 working days of selection and will be asked to visit the Winner Claim Portal to claim their prize and to provide their details (name, country of residence and email address). Provisional winners of Star Prizes and Tier 1 and 2 Prizes will be asked to provide evidence of identity and eligibility in order to claim their prize. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the winners.

In the event that a selected entrant does not respond to the initial contact within 14 days, Amazon reserves the right to disqualify that selected entrant. If a selected entrant is disqualified, Amazon reserves the right to award the prize to a reserve winner selected in the same manner, time permitting, or enter the prize into the Wrap Up Sweepstakes.

Before being declared a winner, all selected entrants will be required to correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question without assistance, mechanical or otherwise.

What happens if a prize isn’t claimed?

Following the end of the promotion period, in the event of any prizes that are rejected, undelivered, unclaimed or returned to sender for a period of 45 days after the close of the promotion period, Amazon reserves the right to request that the Administrator conducts a random “Wrap Up Sweepstakes” from all remaining valid entries.

As this depends wholly on what is won during the promotion, the number of prizes that may be awarded by this route is unknown. Odds of winning depend on the number of remaining Valid Entries. The Wrap Up Sweepstakes draw will take place within 47 days of the close of the promotion period. Any selected entrants via this route will be notified via email within 48 days from the end of the promotion period and, for the avoidance of doubt, must also complete the prize acceptance process.

If a Prize goes unclaimed after reaching out to 2 alternate selected entrants that prize will not be awarded.

Can I receive a cash alternative?

The prizes are not transferable, substitutable, or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for monetary value or for any other form of compensation. If for any reason any prize is not available, Amazon reserves the right, at its sole discretion to substitute the prize for another of equal or greater value.

How will I receive my prize?

Upon prize acceptance, the Administrator will deliver the prize to the winner’s email address provided upon registration within 5 working days.

I haven’t received my prize.

In the unlikely event a verified winner has not received their prize within 10 days of Prize Acceptance, the winner will have a further 10 days to inform the Administrator by visiting the Claim Portal. If a winner does not do so, Amazon reserves the right to not reissue the Prize or limit its value at its sole discretion.

Why have I been disqualified?

Amazon seeks to run a fair and secure promotion. If your entry is not consistent with the Official Rules, we will notify you.

What are my tax obligations?

Each winner will be solely responsible for payment of any and all applicable local taxes for the prize won. Each winner may also be required to sign and return certain tax documentation. Where applicable, the Sponsor may require winners to provide additional tax information, as required by law.

Do I need to participate in any publicity requests?

Amazon may request that winners participate in reasonable publicity arising from the Promotion. Participation is at the winner’s discretion and is not a condition of Prize Acceptance.

Privacy and use of your personal information

All personal data supplied for this Promotion will be used solely for the purpose of this Promotion by Amazon and/or the Administrator or by any agent appointed by it to assist with running the Promotion and will not be disclosed to an unconnected third party unless your positive consent has been obtained.
